Let us sing, and listen, and pray, and feast. And let us worship God. Amen.
Reader 1: We do not always recognize your call, O Lord. Speak to us in ways we can comprehend, and show us what new adventure you have in store for your servants.
The world is slow to hear your message, even one of salvation. Use us in ways which reach the far corners of the earth with the good news of redemption and eternal life in you.
Reader 2: Make us good mentors for the youth in our care. Help us to raise them in your community and support their growing faith that they may find the ways in which you are calling them to give their lives in service.
Join us with all who have heard your call in every age and followed you. Make of us one family of faith, undivided by time or space.
Reader 3: We pray for your guidance for the family of Mount Olive. May we seek your way and not our own. We pray for your church that all lay leaders, pastors, bishops, and committee members clearly see where you are leading. Bless our bishops, Eaton and Erickson in their ministries in the ELCA.
WL: You are ever sensitive to our fears, weaknesses, and crises of health and wellness. Extend your healing hand to us all, especially those whom we know and love and name before you now [PAUSE…]
We thank you for bringing us so close that we can speak to you, and for loving us so much that you hear us when we pray. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
